REGISTRATION OPTIONS

Main Conference

There are three options for registering for the main OCEANS ’16 MTS/IEEE Monterey conference:

  • as Presenting Author
  • as Attendee (including non-presenting authors)
  • as Exhibitor

Please read below to see which method you should use.

Plenary Session and Exhibit Hall

Both of these events are free of charge; however, you must register either online (select “Exhibits Only” registration) or at the Registration Desk to obtain a name badge which is required for admission.

Tutorials and Workshops

Tutorials and Workshops, held on Monday, September 19, are considered “add-ons” to the main OCEANS ’16 MTS/IEEE Monterey conference and you may register for Tutorials and Workshops without registering for the full conference. You must however register, so please follow this link http://monterey16.oceansconference.org/ to our online registration system then select “Tutorials Only” or “Workshops Only” when prompted for the registration type.

If you are registering as a full conference attendee, you will be able to add individual tutorials and workshops to your registration.

EXPLANATION OF MAIN CONFERENCE REGISTRATION OPTIONS

Presenting Author of a Conference Paper or Student Poster

If you are the presenting author of a conference paper or of a student poster and have been notified that your abstract has been accepted, please follow the Author Dashboard login instructions contained in your acceptance email and on the Author’s Instructions page http://monterey16.oceansconference.org/author-instructions/.

These instructions will take you through the paper upload process, including copyright, PDF eXpress, and Paper Registration. You will be registering for the conference as part of the Paper Registration process, so please do not use the Attendee registration page linked in the next section. Student Poster Contest authors will receive a free full registration, but still need to go through the regular author registration process.

Conference Attendees Not Submitting Papers or Student Posters

Conference attendees who are not submitting papers or student posters register here http://monterey16.oceansconference.org/. Registration is required even if you plan to attend only the Exhibition or the Plenary Session of OCEANS ’16 Monterey.

Registration is also required for Tutorials and Workshops and other conference events.

Exhibitors

For Exhibitor Registration, please follow this link http://monterey16.oceansconference.org/register/. Please note you will need the Password forwarded to you by Sue Kingston in order to register.

If you need a VISA

Full Registration attendees, who need a letter from the conference to obtain a visa, can generate a visa invitation letter by following this link: http://monterey16.oceansconference.org/
